Eddie Wiley specializes exclusively in personal injury law and devotes his practice to the following areas: motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, accident benefits, bar and tavern liability, slip & fall incidents, and product liability cases. He regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court Justice and Licence Appeal Tribunal on behalf of his clients.

His approach emphasizes fully investigating and building personal injury cases on behalf of his clients, as well as honest and informed communication with his clients enabling them to make the most practical decisions about their cases.

RECENT DECISIONS

Decision No. 919/23, 2023 ONWSIAT 1672 - Eddie Wiley successfully resisted an insurer's application to bar a personal injury action from proceeding to trial on the basis that it fell within the WSIB regime of coverage. The Adjudicator confirmed the matter did not fall within the WSIB regime of insurance.

Bhullar v. TD General Insurance Company, 2023 ONLAT 21-002847 - Eddie Wiley successfully represented the Applicant in overturning the insurer's denials of all treatment plans.

Vincent et al. v. Sheard et al., 2022 ONSC 6046 (unreported) - Eddie Wiley successfully resisted the homeowner defendants' motion for summary judgment in this personal injury case arising from the collapse of a staircase, and recovered $25,000 in costs on the motion.
